A Detailed Hierarchical Model of Psychopathology: From Individual Symptoms up to the General Factor of Psychopathology

Much of the knowledge about relationships among domains psychopathology is built on diagnostic categories described in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Mental Disorders ( DSM), relatively little research has examined symptom-level structure psychopathology. The aim this study was to delineate a detailed hierarchical model psychopathology—from individual symptoms up general factor psychopathology—allowing both higher- lower-order dimensions depart from DSM.
